Metropolitan Pilates is the premier Pilates studio in the Northwest. At Metropolitan Pilates, we offer only authentic Pilates, using apparatus built from the original design specifications and mechanics of Joseph Pilates' own equipment. All our instructors have undergone extensive training and testing and have been certified by Dorothee VandeWalle.
Metropolitan Pilates is dedicated to the classical Pilates method of body conditioning. Our spacious and spotless studio features the full complement of top-of-the-line Gratz equipment, 15 foot ceilings, and spacious locker rooms complete with full shower facilities.
We offer private and semi-private instruction as well as daily group classes. Private and semi-private sessions are about 55 minutes in length and are composed of a combination of apparatus and matwork. Group classes are 50 minutes in length and take place in our dedicated mat studio, the Orange Room.
Our instructors are rigorously trained to develop a system of exercises tailored specifically for each client based on age, fitness goals, and the presence of any prior injuries. For best results, clients are encouraged to commit to two to three sessions each week.
Metropolitan Pilates also offers the finest, most comprehensive Pilates instructor training program in the United States. Headed by Dorothee VandeWalle, the Metropolitan Pilates Teacher Certification Program is recognized nationally and abroad. Metropolitan Pilates is a licensed vocational school in the State of Washington.
